Lake Breeze Winery has been a permanent fixture in our range for almost 20 years. Like our Wyhus Ryf, Lake Breeze is a family business. The winery is run in its third generation by the three brothers Roger, Greg, and Tim Follett.
For us, Lake Breeze wines represent excellent age-worthy wines and the best quality. While it is sometimes not easy to classify the young vintages of these wines, fans of these fantastic drops know how rewarding a little patience can be. Drinking a 10-year-old Lake Breeze Cabernet is an unparalleled pleasure!
Did you know that the False Cape wines from Kangaroo Island also belong to the Follett family business? The False Cape wines reflect very typical characteristics of Kangaroo Island. A family business that produces the best wines with passion. The three brothers manage the business. One in the cellar, the other in the field, the third in the office. Greg, Tim & “Dr Schnurri” Roger Follett. The winery is named after a nearby coastal landmark. The False Cape winery on Kangaroo Island was founded in 1999 together with sister Julie and her husband Jamie Helyar.

Wyhus Ryf is known for its quality wines. Only long-term relationships with wine producers enable us to continuously import these top wines over such a long period. Over the years, great friendships develop that go far beyond business. This is, of course, what happened with the Folletts. They visited us last time. Due to Corona, that was a while ago. More precisely, Roger and Meredith Follett visited us in 2019 (pictures can be found below). Raclette, mountains, snow, and good wine were on the agenda. A try on the snowboards was also obligatory, of course. We had a lot of fun and hope to visit the Folletts again soon.
And did you know that the award-winning winemaker Greg Follett is also the winemaker of False Cape Wines? It’s probably high time that you taste the great wines from Lake Breeze and False Cape. Order the wines conveniently in our online shop today!
