Wyhus Ryf Best of Neue Welt Rotwein Preis

We are once again overwhelmed and proud to have achieved outstanding success at the "Best of New World" Awards! Among the New World red wines, with a total of 47 entries, Australian wines have proven their dominance. Five different wines from Australia, represented by five different grape varieties, top the leaderboard, impressively demonstrating the diversity and outstanding quality of Australian wines.

From Wine Lover to Wine Expert - Our Commitment in Every Bottle

The awarded wines reflect our commitment to excellent wines and exceptional taste. Take, for example, the Woodstock The Scott Collett: With a proud 91.8 points, this wine not only received the Gold Trophy Diploma but also underlines the masterful skill that went into its creation. The Woodstock Cabernet Sauvignon, which received a Silver Trophy and 87.8 points, is also a testament to the diversity and quality of our product range.

Beyond Borders - Our International Presence

The Woodstock Pilot's View Shiraz with 90.2 points and the Marjico The Harvesters Cabernet Franc with 91 points each received a Gold Trophy. We are particularly pleased, of course, that Lost Penny is represented with three wines, as we have a very special relationship with Carol Riebke and her husband. A list of winning wines can be found below.

A Mark of Quality and Commitment

The Expovina Wine Trophy 2023, one of the most prestigious wine awards, not only honors the quality of the awarded wines but also our commitment to offering our customers first-class wines. With a total of 1556 wines submitted and 225 Gold Trophies, this award sets a high standard for quality and selection.

Our Recipe for Success

At Wyhus Ryf, there's more to our success than just excellent wines. Our recipe for success is based on the long-standing partnerships we cultivate with our winemakers from Australia. These relationships go far beyond business and are the cornerstone of our exceptional selection of top wines.

Year after year, with the exception of the Corona years, we travel to Down Under to taste the latest vintages and wines directly on site. It's a job that fills us with joy, because it allows us to maintain our reputation as a first-class wine merchant.

Our relationship with the winemakers is intense and authentic. We are not just business partners – we are friends and like-minded people who share a passion for first-class wines. Every bottle we select is the result of personal conversations, tastings, and the shared conviction that only the best is good enough.

Our trips to Australia are an investment in quality. We do everything we can to ensure that the wines we offer our customers meet the highest standards. The last few weeks of our exciting Australian trip have brought us even closer to the winemaking families. We felt their passion and returned with a wealth of impressions and experiences.
