Wyhus Ryf once again at the top at the Expovina Wine Trophy 2024!
The winners of the Expovina Wine Trophy 2024 have been announced, and we at Wyhus Ryf are thrilled and proud that our wines have achieved outstanding success again this year. It is particularly pleasing that we have once again won the "Best of Trophy" and that many of our wines have been awarded both gold and silver medals. These awards not only confirm our commitment to first-class wines but also the excellent quality of our long-standing partnerships with winemakers from Australia.
The official Expovina Wine Trophy 2024 put over 1440 wines to the test. It is a great honor for us that our wines were able to shine in this strong competition and are among the best.
The wines that were awarded this year reflect the wide range and diversity that we at Wyhus Ryf stand for. From powerful and full-bodied Shiraz from old vines to elegant and complex red wines that impress with their harmony and intensity – our wines convinced the jury and once again set high standards.

Best of Trophy 2024: A true champion
The flagship wine Woodstock The Stock’s 2018 was awarded the Best of Trophy and Gold. This exceptional Shiraz comes from a special single vineyard and impresses with its intensity and elegance. The vines, planted in 1900, yield a wine full of red and black fruits, spices, and subtly toasted notes. The body is full-bodied, the tannins harmoniously integrated – a wine that offers an impressive experience even when young and has the potential to mature over decades.
The Heartland Single Vineyard Shiraz 2016 also achieved a gold medal. With its abundance of violet fruits, combined with notes of anise and chocolate, and a long-lasting finish, it represents the pinnacle of Australian winemaking.
Strong silver medals for outstanding wines
In addition to our gold winners, we also celebrated six silver medals this year. Each of these wines represents the diversity and outstanding quality that defines the Wyhus Ryf portfolio. From the elegant Bowen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 to the robust John’s Blend Margaret’s Shiraz 2020, each wine displays its unique personality and sophistication.
A sign of our commitment
These awards are not only proof of the quality of our wines but also of our commitment to always offer our customers the best drops. The close cooperation with our winemakers in Australia, our trips to the vineyards, and our tireless efforts in selecting the wines are reflected in every drop. We are proud of these relationships that go far beyond business, and we are delighted to share our passion for excellent wine with you.
