Description
The whisky matures for ten years in first-fill American whiskey casks (65%), second-fill American whiskey casks (10%), and second-fill French wine casks (25%). Using Islay spring water, the whisky is then reduced to 50% vol. The Port Charlotte 10 Years is characterized by its smoky taste, reminiscent of a gentle barbecue fire, but at the same time complemented by a whole range of aromatic facets. With predominantly smoky, oaky and floral notes, plus hints of citrus, fruit, barley malt, vanilla and sea air.
