Description
Negroamaro is a southern Italian grape variety, mostly cultivated in Apulia. It is a powerful, dark red wine. The Appassimento production method is also used for its "big brother," the Amarone. In this process, the grapes are dried on straw mats for an extended period or "raisined" before further processing. With its intense flavor and spicy notes, Negroamaro is suitable for pairing with red meat and all pasta dishes, or simply with delicious antipasti.
